The application of the fabric to the latex body (which has been stretched over the mannequin) using brush latex. Small tucks are stitched into the fabric prior to applying to the stretched latex body

Trial garments. Unfortunately I am on a budget and I had to use polyester as the cloth which is applied to the latex body, sadly the latex does not take well to the latex in any sense. It needs to be taken into consideration that the colour and effect of the latex on cloth is nothing like the effect of the silk crepe and how this silk cloth chemically reacts to the latex.

This is how I sample the placement of the cloth before I actually apply it to the mannequin. This is the point in which I decide on placement of tucks and where they will be positioned on the body, why the placement is so important and how you read the cloth as a garment.

The body suit has been stretched over the mannequin and the tucked fabric is appalled first, you paint on the brush latex first then applying the fabric and then paint on the brush latex over the fabric. let it try and then I start to choose how the rest of the fabric will fold and be placed over the rest of the body and how much will be blended into the body and how much will be allowed to drape and fall away from the body.

Latex as it dries on the body.

I need to keep in mind how the garment looks of the body. It appears to be delicate on the body but once taken off it transforms and can look quite cumbersome and heavy in places.

Below are just some up close images of the latex that has been flattened on the body and coated in latex.
